Beautiful & Rare ARMAND MARSEILLE (A.2.M.) German Bisque Antique Doll marked "ROSEBUD"
The mark at the back of her head reads: "Rosebud" A.2.M.Made In Germany.
Back of the doll's body is a leather label that reads: EXCELSIOR, Germany.
This DOLL measures approximately 24-25" Tall, and is about 100 years old.
In a vintage, delicate ankle-length dress embroidered and trimmed with lace with a full lace petticoat and bonnet. The shoes are contemporary

Product Description:
Presented is a fine quality 24" A2M Baby Doll. She is a beautiful Doll, wearing an ankle length dress with sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, long blond hair, leather body and ARMAND MARSEILLE marks on the back of her head.
The body is also marked with a leather label from EXCELSIOR, Germany.
This lovely ARMAND MARSEILLE Doll has Feathered Brown Eyebrows, Brown Sleep Eyes (in working condition), French type Brown lashes (painted around entire eyes), 4 teeth in open Mouth, Chin Dimple, Rosy Cheeks, Long blonde Hair. Her Bisque Head, Shoulders and Hands have no visible hairlines or cracks...The Kid Leather stuffed body appears in very good condition. On the back of the doll's body is a leather label that reads: EXCELSIOR, Germany.
The mark at the back of her head reads: "Rosebud" A.2.M.Made In Germany. Most of the AM Dolls used other manufacturers to produce the bodies for their Bisque Heads.
We estimate this doll to be over 100 years old, the head, body and hands are in amazing condition for this age, as you can see in the photos. The legs are jointed at the hip, but need to be professionally repaired. They are attached using some type of cloth tape. This DOLL measures approximately 24-25" Tall. She is dressed in a vintage cotton ankle-length dress embroidered overall and trimmed with lace. It has a full lace petticoat and bonnet. At the neck of the dress is a silver metal vintage framed CAMEO. The DRESS has some light yellowing and might come out if gently washed, but, we're not experts in that area, so we'll that to the professionals, too.
The Armand Marseille doll, mold "ROSEBUD," is one of those highly collectible German made dolls, and a lovely example of pre-turn of the century bisque dolls. Since we acquired this DOLL, it has been stored in a temperature controlled environment in a smoke free & pet free environment.
